So he must just be imagining things, perhaps it's just something with the house's heating. And the pie is fresh from the oven, gently steaming, that must be it...

[ it's nice to have cain's faith, even if the present situation at hand may have not called for it (thanks homie). it's even nicer to receive so much praise. they say a cook is only as good as the compliments they received, after all. vane, despite the heat discovers himself smiling a little too much at the idea.
